HEADING INTO 2010: Will serve as one of Maine's captains... will solidify Maine's infield, starting at shortstop... a great weapon near the bottom of the lineup... leads on and off the field for the Black Bears... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner.

2009: Had an outstanding junior season... named to the America East Second Team... started 51 games for the Black Bears at shortstop... hit .315 with 39 runs scored and 31 RBI... led Maine in doubles with 16 and had five home runs... had 14 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games... put together a nine-game hitting streak midway through the season... finished 1-for-4 with a run scored and four RBI in Maine's 17-3 win over Iona (4/3)... had three hits in back-to-back games against Hartford (4/13)... named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.

2008: One of four Black Bears to start all 49 games for Maine in 2008... hit .287 with 38 runs scored and 33 RBI... had 10 doubles, three triples and three home runs on the season... had three hits in the series-opener at UNLV (2/29)... finished 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI in Maine's game against Notre Dame (3/4)... was 4-for-6 with two runs scored and four RBI in Maine's 19-0 win over NJIT (4/6)... finished 4-for-6 with four runs scored and five RBI in Maine's 19-1 win over Husson (4/10)... had two doubles and a home run in the game against the Eagles... was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI in Maine's 11-7 victory over UMBC (4/19)... named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.

BEFORE MAINE: Captain for coach Roger Bidwell at UConn Avery Point... at Avery Point, hit .351 with two home runs and 36 RBI... an All-New England selection at Avery Point... team won the NJCAA New England Championship... batted .456 with one home run and 24 RBI at New Milford High School... was All-SWC as a junior and All-State as a senior at New Milford... New Milford team won the SWC Championship... born October 18, 1988... son of Sharon and Paul Patane... a mass communication major.
