Biography

HEADING INTO 2010: Will start at third base for the Black Bears... good hitter... will hit near the top of the lineup.

 

2009: Had a solid rookie campaign for the Black Bears... named America East Rookie of the Week on March 3... returned from an injury early in the season to play in 35 games, making 32 starts, mostly as the designated hitter... his .260 with 23 runs scored and 23 RBI... belted three home runs on the season... stole five bases.

 

BEFORE MAINE: Captain for coach Jim Palmer at Gardiner Area High School... one of the top infielders in the state during his high school career... won the Maine Mr. Baseball Award... as a junior hit .500 with four home runs and 22 RBI... named an All-KVAC first team selection... named the Kennebec Journal Player of the Year... led his team to the state championship as a senior... also a standout in football, where his team also won a state championship his senior season, and basketball... born July 11, 1989... son of Regina and Paul Stilphen... a business major.
