2008: Saw action in 36 games for the Black Bears, making 34 starts, mostly at catcher... hit .222 with 17 runs scored and 15 RBI... was 2-for-4 with a run scored in Maine's 8-7 win over Ohio State (3/8)... finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI against Navy (3/15)... was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI in Maine's 19-0 win over NJIT (4/6)... finished 4-for-5 with a run scored and a season-high four RBI in Maine's 13-4 victory over Thomas (4/22)... drove in two runs, including belting a home run, in the season finale against Binghamton (5/17)... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete *Rising Star*.

BEFORE MAINE: Played his freshman season at the University of Illinois where he saw action in 11 games, earning three starts... batted .444 with three doubles and three RBI, while also having a .524 OBP at the University of Illinois... played for Kennedy High School... threw out 12-of-14 runners stealing in 2006 and 14-of-15 in 2005... picked off 18 runners during the `05 and `06 seasons... batted .467 with 23 RBI and a .727 OBP in 2006 while being named All-League, All-Section, First Team All-Journal News, Louisville Slugger Second Team All-American and Second Team All-State... hit .481 with 36 RBI and .740 OBP in 2005 while being named All-League, and All-Section... batted .403 with 19 RBI and .600 OBP in 2004 while being named All-League and All-Section...
