HEADING INTO 2010: A mainstay in the starting rotation the past two years... will serve as a captain of the Black Bears... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner.

2009: Finished 7-3 on the season with a 4.33 ERA... His seven wins led the team... started 13 games on the season and finished with one complete game... led Maine in innings pitched with 79.0... picked up first win of the season in Maine's 10-3 win over Duquesne (3/3)... also earned wins against Penn (3/9), Sacred Heart (3/22), Iona (4/5), Hartford (4/13), UMBC (4/19) and Binghamton (5/9)... pitched six or more innings in nine of his 13 games... fanned a season-high eight batters against Duquesne (3/3)... named to the America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

2008: Saw action in 14 games for the Black Bears, earning 11 starts... was 2-5 on the season with a 4.57 ERA... finished second on the team with 64 strikeouts... also finished second on the team in innings pitched with 65... picked up first career win in Maine's 16-7 victory over Delaware State (2/25)... also earned a win against NJIT (4/6) where he went six innings and allowed no runs on just two hits... picked up a save in Maine's 8-7 win over Ohio State (3/8)... recorded a career-high eight strikeouts in four straight games starting March 16 against Monmouth and ending April 12 against Albany.

BEFORE MAINE: Played for Jason Chee-Aloy at St. Michael's College School... team was 2007 National Champions... 2006 and 2005 Canada Cup Champions... team won a bronze medal at the 2004 National Championships... named Junior Athlete of the Year... Team Canada member... born February 23, 1989... son of Jill Balfour and David Jebb... a business major.
