Biography

2010: Played in 10 games as holder as well as a start against Towson at quarterback . . . went 22-for-45 for 221 yards and a score . . . also rushed 20 times for 33 yards and a touchdown . . . went 7-for-17 for 63 yards against Albany (9/2) . . . completed 3-of-5 passes against Villanova for 38 yards and a score . . . also had a pair of rushes for 18 yards in the game . . . completed 9-of-17 passes for 100 yards and rushed seven times for 11 yards and a touchdown against Towson (11/13). 

2009: Played in four games, starting against Rhode Island (11/14) and New Hampshire (11/21) . . . completed 40-of-46 passes for 468 yards and five touchdowns while running for 35 yards on 12 carries and another score against Rhode Island . . . the 40 completions and 87 % completion percentage set school records . . . was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, The Sports Network’s FCS National Offensive Player of the Week and earned the Gold Helmet Award from the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston . . . completed 29-of-48 passes for 303 yards and two scores against New Hampshire.

2008: Saw limited action versus Iona (11/1) … rushed three times for 22 yards against the Gaels.

2007: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

BEFORE MAINE/PERSONAL: Played quarterback, free safety and kicked for coach Mike Bailey at Portland H.S. ... served as a team captain ... led his team to three playoff appearances ... led Portland to an appearance in the Western Maine Final ... won the Dave Allen Award for his league’s MVP ... was an all-state selection from 2005-06 ... was a finalist for the Fitzpatrick Trophy ... named to his league’s all-academic team ... named to his high school’s academic honor roll ... born Sept. 17, 1988 ... son of Ronald and Caryn Treister ... graduated with a degree in international affairs and currently pursuing his master's degree in business.
