2009 OFFSEASON: Named a senior tri-captain following spring practice. 2008: Made a successful switch from linebacker to defensive end prior to the season and started all 13 games up front ... made 53 tackles (23 ST, 30 AT), including 7.5 for loss (-46 yards) and 4.0 sacks (-18 yards) ... forced a fumble and returned another 35 yards for a touchdown in the win at 20th-ranked Delaware (10/11) ... made one stop at Iowa (8/30) ... totaled five tackles, including one for loss at Monmouth (9/6) ... had eight tackles and half a sack against Stony Brook (9/13) ... made seven stops against Hofstra (10/18) ... registered two tackles behind the line of scrimmage versus Northeastern (10/25) ... had five tackles, including 1.5 for loss and 1.0 sacks against Iona (11/1) ... had a sack and a half at Rhode Island (11/15) ... was in on five stops against New Hampshire (11/22) ... totaled two tackles in the playoffs at Northern Iowa (11/29) ... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete. 2007: Switched from linebacker to defensive end following the season and played the position during spring practice in 2008 ... started 10 of the 11 games he played in at the rover linebacker spot ... recorded 69 tackles (31 ST, 38 AT), including 5.0 for loss (-29 yards), 2.0 sacks (-4 yards), one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery ... recorded at least seven tackles in four games ... ranked fourth on the team in tackles and 39th in the CAA ... had two tackles and a pass breakup against Monmouth (9/1) ... had 1.5 tackles for loss (-7 yards) at Connecticut (9/8) ... recorded nine solo tackles (game-high) with two tackles for loss (-18 yards) at Villanova (9/15) ... had five stops versus Massachusetts (9/22) ... made seven tackles with a sack at Hofstra (10/6) ... totaled six hits versus William & Mary (10/13) ... made eight tackles at Stony Brook (10/20) ... had six tackles at Northeastern (10/27) ... made five tackles (team-high) with a forced fumble, fumble recovery and a sack against Rhode Island (11/10) ... made a game-high 14 tackles with 0.5 tackles for loss at New Hampshire (11/17) ... won the "Maine Man" Strength & Conditioning Award. 2006: Saw action in all 11 games, primarily on special teams ... totaled four tackles (2 ST, 2 AT) ... named the Thurlow Cooper Defensive Rookie of the Year ... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Rising Star. BEFORE MAINE/PERSONAL: Played linebacker and running back for coach Rick Marcella at Bridgton Academy ... was a team captain during his senior season ... was named to his high school's honor roll all four years ... helped lead his team to the state playoffs for three-consecutive seasons ... also a member of his skiing team, which won four Class "A" Maine State Championships from 2002-05 ... was named to the Lewiston Sun Journal All-State team for football in 2004 ... born Feb. 23, 1987 ... son of David and Dorinda Stevens ... a business marketing major.
