Football falls in home opener against Merrimack

Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine football program fell to Merrimack in their home opener on Saturday night.
Maine Scoring:
The Black Bears got on the board in the first quarter on a field goal by Samuel Tremblay from 41-yards out.
Rashawn Marshall scored on a seven-yard rush up the middle in the third quarter for his second touchdown of the season.
Tremblay capped off the scoring for Maine with a 45-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Notes:
Merrimack scored a touchdown in the second quarter, two in the third quarter and a safety in the fourth quarter.
Next Time Out:
The Black Bears head to Boston College to take on the Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 PM.
