Before Maine: Hartley came to Orono after a successful high school career at Maine Central Institute. A three-time all-state selection, she helped MCI to state championships in 2015 and 2017. In 2018, Hartley was named a Miss Maine Field Hockey finalist. In her career, Hartley scored 54 goals and tallied 23 assists for the Huskies. In her senior year alone, she scored 22 goals and 13 assists. Hartley and her club team, Black Bear Elite, competed at several national tournaments.
