Maine falls to No. 15 UMass

Maine back in action Friday against Stonehill
ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine field hockey team fell to the No. 15 UMass Minutewomen, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the UMaine Field Hockey Complex.
Isla Campbell opened the scoring for the Minutewomen seven minutes into the contest and didn't look back.
Amber Farion scored her first of four goals of the contest to close out the first quarter.
Farion would tack on two more in the second to increase the UMass lead to 4-0 and then would add her fourth of the afternoon in the third to extend the lead.
Niamh McKenzie added an insurance tally in the fourth to extend the Minutewomen lead. Cara Falconer would score the final Minutewomen goal.
Emily Chisholm, Floor Dijkhuizen and Eloise Penty all had a shot on goal for the Black Bears.
Maine is back in action this weekend as they host Stonehill on Friday and Davidson on Sunday.
