IN 2012: Sat out the season as a red-shirt... named a Maine Scholar-Athlete *Rising Star*... named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.  

BEFORE MAINE: Played at first and third base at LaSalle Institute...  captain for coach Jesse Braverman... hit .333 with 22 runs scored and 17 RBI... stole 20 bases... belted a home run... team won Big Ten Conference with a 17-1 record, advanced to semi-finals of sectionals... member of National Honor Society 2010-11... 2011 Dunkin Donuts Scholar Athlete... 2010 Big Ten Conference All-Star... received Sal Forino Award for Outstanding Achievement in Baseball in 2011... also played basketball... born June 3, 1998... son of Rick and Mary Jo Bernardo... majoring in Business...  has three brothers and one sister... brother Nick also plays baseball for UMaine... father, Rick, played for the Black Bears from 1983-1986 and was an first team All-American.
