Preview: Maine gets set to host 2026 America East Championship

The Black Bears will face the Binghamton Bearcats on Wednesday, May 6.

ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team is getting set to host the 2026 America East Softball Championship this week, with the tournament running May 6-9 at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.
 
The fifth-seeded Black Bears kick off the double-elimination tournament on Wednesday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. against second-seed Binghamton. The Black Bears went 2-3 against the Bearcats during the regular season.
