  Alfond Fund Golf Classic  

UMaine Athletics is proud to host the 2025 Alfond Fund Golf Classic on July 28, 2025 at the Waterville Country Club. This year's Classic will once again feature a double shotgun start. 

Registration for the morning flight will begin at 7 a.m. with the shotgun start scheduled for 8 a.m. 

Registration for the afternoon flight will open at 11:30 a.m. with the shotgun start scheduled for 1:35 p.m. 

A luncheon and reception for all golfers will take place at 12 p.m. with a short program, featuring remarks from University President Joan Ferinni-Mundy and Athletic Director Jude Killy, scheduled for 1 p.m.

All proceeds from the Alfond Fund Golf Classic go directly towards supporting the Black Bears to help enhance the UMaine student-athlete experience. Philanthropic support of Black Bear Athletics is what allows our UMaine Athletics teams to strive and shine, whether with new equipment on the field, or scholarship support in the classroom. The Black Bears rely on generous donors for the financial assistance required when growing and maintaining a Division I sports program.
