Preview: Maine softball set to host UMBC in home opener

The Black Bears and Retrievers will play a three-game series.

ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team will host UMBC this weekend in the 2025 home opening series at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.
 
The Black Bears and Retrievers are set to play a single game at 7 p.m. on Friday night and doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
 
Friday's game will stream live on America East TV while Saturday's doubleheader is slated for viewing on ESPN+.
