ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team won its second consecutive America East Championship with a 3-0 win over rival New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon at Mahaney Diamond.

Jordane Pinette opened the scoring just three minutes into the contest, firing home a loose ball in the box for her sixth of the season.
Abby Kraemer doubled the lead eight minutes later when she finished off a wing service from
Kayla Kraemer.
Lara Kirkby capped the scoring in the 68th minute, sending a pass from
Abby Kraemer under the crossbar.
Lara Kirkby earned the Elite 18 Award for having the highest GPA among student-athletes competing in the championship.Â

Myla Schneider was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

- New Hampshire had the 12-9 lead in shots while the teams were even in shots on goal at 5-5.
