Audrey Palmer scored for Maine in the 2-1 loss.
ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team fell to Merrimack, 2-1, on Thursday night at the New Balance Soccer Complex.
After Merrimack took a 1-0 lead into halftime, the Black Bears kept pushing for a tying goal and got in the 88th minute. Audrey Palmer poked home a loose ball in the box for her first collegiate goal. The Warriors, though, responded in kind and trickled home the game-winning goal in the final minute of play.
