Box Score Dedham, MA - The University of Maine field hockey program was defeated by Northeastern on Sunday afternoon, 4-2.
First Goal: Kate Richardson tallied her fifth goal of the season to get Maine on the board first in the opening quarter as she grabbed a rebound off of a shot by Bhreagh Kennedy that hit the right post.
Northeastern scored twice in the first half of the contest in the '7 and '28 minutes and twice in the second half in the '39 and '46 minutes.
Sixth Goal: Brynn Dzenegelewski scored her second goal of the season as she grabbed her own rebound on a point-blank shot and put the second-chance into the back of the net.
Notes on the Game:Â
- Corners were tied 3-3 on the afternoon.Â
- Shots were tied 13-13 on the afternoon, with both teams having six shots in the first half and seven in the second half.Â
- Dzenegelewski was tied for the game-high in shots on goal with three.Â
- Zoe Furber had two shots on goal which was tied for the second-most in the contest.Â
Next time out: Maine hosts UAlbany on Friday, Oct. 25Â in a one-game weekend for the Black Bears as they have only two games remaining in the regular season. That game will begin at 3 P.M.
