ORONO, Maine - The Black Bears look to send their Senior Class out in style during their last home weekend at Alfond Arena. Maine is currently coming off a tough series against Merrimack College. The Black Bears opened up the series scoring early, but the Warriors were able to overcome the deficit, and win the opener in overtime, 4-3. The second night saw a back and forth scoring affair that saw each team score 4 apiece, gaining a tie in Hockey East play.

Scouting The Black Bears
Senior Assistant Captain
Blaine Byron is currently on a 7 game point streak registering 5 goals and 4 assists during that span. He is currently second on the team in scoring with 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points. Maine is led by Senior Captain
Cam Brown who has scored 4 goals and registered 31 assists on the season for 35 points. Defense will be another major key for the Black Bears, and Sophomore
Rob Michel is putting up great numbers on the back end registering 8 goals and 10 assists entering the last series of the regular season. Junior
Mark Hamilton currently leads the country in total blocks with 82 on the year. He also registers 2.73 blocks per game, good for first in the country as well.
Scouting the Huskies
Northeastern is coming off a weekend sweep of the UConn Huskies, winning 3-0 at UConn before wrapping up the series at home with a 4-1 victory. Northeastern boasts a high scoring offense led by Zach Aston-Reese. The senior forward is currently second in the country in points with 27 goals and 29 assists for 56 points on the season. Northeastern currently boasts 5 scorers with over 20 points on the season along with two more skaters poised to break the 50 point barrier with Adam Gaudette and Dylan Sikura both sitting at 49 points. Sophomore goaltender Ryan Ruck has started 31 of 32 games for the Huskies compiling a 15-11-4 record. He currently sits at a 2.94 goals against average along with a .897 save percentage.
