Black Bears finalize 2026-27 roster additions

There are seven forwards, six defenseman and two goaltenders among the newcomers

ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine men's ice hockey head coach Ben Barr has finalized the addition of 15 student-athletes who will join the Black Bears for the 2026-27 season.
 
There are seven forwards, six defenseman and two goaltenders among the newcomers, including eight transferring in with previous collegiate experience.

Arizona State (NCHC)
Skated in 35 games for Arizona State last season, recording seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points … scored two power-play goals … had 79 shots on goal and recorded 34 blocked shots … led all first-year players on the team with his 18 points … played three seasons of junior hockey for the Erie Otters (OHL), skating in 193 games … recorded 84 points (41-43-84) in 68 games in his final 2024-25 season in Erie.

Spent the last two seasons at Providence College, skating in 59 games for the Friars … recorded two goals and six assists, including one game-winning goal, while blocking 33 shots, firing 64 shots on goal and recording a plus-16 … appeared in 34 games with the Tri-City Storm (USHL) in 2023-24, recording 17 points (3-14-17) ... won a bronze medal with the U.S. at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, totaling one goal and one assist in five games ... also appeared in eight games with Tri-City at the end of the 2022-23 season.
