SENIOR (2016-17): Will serve as an assistant captain for the Black Bears.

JUNIOR (2015-16): Played in 38 games for Maine...Scored eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points...Led the team in points scored (24), assists (16), third on the team in goals scored (8) and second on the team in shots (112)...Had seven multi-point games...Had two goals agaist Princeton (11/28) which included the game winner...Scored a total of five points against UMass (1/29 & 1/30) that included two goals and three assists, he was also named NCAA third star of the week...Maine Scholar Athlete Award *Silver Medal*.

SOPHOMORE (2014-15): Saw action in all 39 games for the Black Bears... Finished fourth on the team in scoring with 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points... His 12 goals were second most on the team... Had three short-handed goals which tied for the national lead... Had a goal and an assists in Maine's 5-2 win over New Hampshire (12/12)... Followed that up with two goals the following night against the Wildcats (12/13)... Scored the game-winer and dished out an assist against UMass (11/1)... Had a pair of assists in Maine's 4-2 win over Vermont in Maine's Hockey East first round game (3/7)... Was whistled for just three penalties on the season... Named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner... Named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.  

FRESHMAN (2013–14): Saw action in 32 games for the Black Bears his first season... Scored eight goals and dished out eight assists for 16 points... His eight goals ranked sixth most on the team and tops among rookies... Notched a goal in his first collegiate game at St. Lawrence (10/11)... Tallied a goal and dished out three assists for four points in Maine’s 8-4 win over UMass (11/1)... Had goals in back-to-back games against Vermont (11/9) and BU (11/15)... Tallied the game-winning goal against UMass Lowell on the power play (12/8)... Scored a goal and added an assist against AIC (12/14)... Also had goals against Northeastern (2/21) and Providence (2/28).

BEFORE MAINE:  Played for Smiths Falls and the Kemptville 73’s... Scored 12 goals and added 40 assists for 52 points... Earned the Central Canada Hockey League’s Top Prospect Award in 2012–13.

PERSONAL: Drafted in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, 179th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins... Born Feb. 21, 1995... Plans to major in kinesiology and physical education... Son of Mike and Donna Byron... Has two sisters.
