Orono, Maine -- The America East Conference announced on Tuesday morning that Hunter St. Denis of the University of Maine baseball program has been named the Rookie of the Week for the conference.

St. Denis, a freshmen out of Laytonsville, MD, slashed .400/.500/1.171 with two home runs, four runs scored and five RBIs at Dayton last weekend. He began the weekend with a multi-home run day on Friday before driving in a career-high three RBIs in Sunday's series finale.

St. Denis joins Troy Carpenter (2x - Week 1 & 2) and Rex Hauser (Week 3) as Black Bears to earn weekly Rookie of the Week honors to begin the season.
