Orono, ME - It was announced on Friday afternoon that Jeremiah Jenkins of the University of Maine baseball team was named to the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List.

Jenkins, a junior out of Upper Marlboro, MD, is coming off of one of the most decorated seasons in Maine baseball history at the plate. He slashed .365/.492/.756 with 21 home runs (second-most in a single season) and 76 RBI (second-most in a single season) as he helped lead Maine to their first America East Championship since 2011 and a spot in the Coral Gables Regional.

Jenkins was named to the All-Conference First, All-District First Team, a Third-Team All-American, the District I Player of the Year and the America East Player of the Year in 2023.
