Orono, Maine – The University of Maine baseball program fell in the late innings against Bryant on Thursday.
First Pitch – 2 PM – 4-3 Bryant
Scoring Plays:
Nic Pepe began the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run to right field, his first of the season.
Hunter St. Denis made it 2-0 in the opening inning as he hit an RBI single to center field, bringing home
Shane Andrus (FC).
Quinn Murphy put the Black Bears in front in the bottom of the eighth on a single to right field, scoring
Jack Quigley (PR/SB).
Pitching Breakdown:
Jason Krieger started on the mound for the Black Bears and went eight innings allowing two runs on four hits, two walks and striking out six batters.
Pierce Friedman (1-1) took the loss in relief as he allowed two runs on three hits, a walk and two strikeouts.
