Abby Kraemer named Third Team All-American

Kraemer becomes a two-time All-American.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Abby Kraemer has been named a Third Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches, as announced on Friday night by the organization.

Kraemer becomes the first two-time All-American in America East in 25 seasons after helping Maine to back-to-back America East championships and NCAA Tournament bids.

The Waterloo, Ontario native earned second team accolades in 2023 to become the first All-American in the conference since 2012. Maine is just the fourth school as a member of the America East to have an All-American honoree. Kraemer led Maine with 19 points on seven goals and a career-high five assists. The striker's 74 shots led all of America East and also marked a career-high. Kraemer scored three game-winning goals on the year in helping Maine to the first-ever regular season title in program history and earned America East All-Tournament Team honors for the second straight year.

Kraemer, who was also a 2023 First Team Scholar All-American, finished her Black Bear career with 74 points on 31 goals and 12 assists while scoring 10 game-winning goals. She was a four-time America East All-Conference honoree and two-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region honoree.

This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Chicago, Ill., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
