ORONO, Maine – Four members of the 2024 University of Maine women's soccer team have earned United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-Atlantic Region honors, as announced this week by the organization.

Myla Schneider,
Kristina Kelly and
Abby Kraemer were named to the All-Atlantic Second Team while
Lara Kirkby received a third team nod. This marks the second consecutive season that these four Black Bears have earned United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region honors.

Schneider, the 2024 America East Tournament Most Outstanding Player, anchored a back line that gave up just .83 goals per game and allowed just 24 shots on target in conference play, the lowest total since 2016. The defender, who also recorded an assist on the year, played all 1,620 minutes for Maine and helped the Black Bears become the first America East champion to finish the conference tournament without conceding a goal since 2010. Schneider was an All-Atlantic Second Team honoree in 2023.

Kelly, who earned second team honors in 2023, recorded 12 points on three goals and a career-high six assists. The midfielder recorded 23 shots and 12 shots on goal in 1,244 minutes played. Kelly also scored one game-winning goal.

Kraemer led Maine with 19 points on seven goals and a career-high five assists. The striker's 74 shots led all of America East. Kraemer, a first team honoree a season ago, scored three game-winning goals on the year, and was top six in the America East in points, goals, assists, game-winning goals, shots and shots on goal.

Kirkby earns her second consecutive All-Atlantic Region Third Team honor. The midfielder recorded career-highs in goals (6), assists (4) and points (16) and finished second on the team in scoring. She logged 1,342 minutes on the pitch.
