Orono, ME - The University of Maine field hockey program was defeated by #14 UAlbany on Friday afternoon, 2-1.
UAlbany scored the first two goals of the contest, one in the '26 minute and one in the '35 minute.
Third Goal: Zoe Furber got the Black Bears on the board with her third goal of the season coming via a deflection that she made on a shot by Micaela Grajales (3), who received the ball from Saylor Kuefler (3).
Notes on the Game:
- Jayde Temby recorded nine saves in net for the Black Bears.
- Alexandra Sacker recorded a pair of defensive saves.
- Shots favored UAlbany, 18-9. Shots were tied in the second half, 7-7.
- Corners favored UAlbany, 11-4. Both sides generated two corners in the fourth quarter.
Next time out: Maine hosts New Hampshire for the final game of the regular season on Friday, Nov. 1. That game will be Senior Day for the Black Bears. The ceremony will take place at 2:45 P.M. before play begins at 3 P.M.
