Box Score Lowell, MA. – The University of Maine field hockey team remains perfect in conference play as they defeated the Riverhawks of UMass Lowell on Friday afternoon, 1-0.
 
The first half would have both sides locked in a 0-0 tie after the opening 30. Mia Borley would turn away both of the shots she faced in the first half.
 
It would take until the 58^th minute for either side to find the score board. It would be the Black Bears that would fine the board first and score the only goal of the contest as Poppy Lambert scored her seventh goal of the season off of a penalty corner for Maine. Chloe Walton (3) picked up the assist.
 
Mia Borley was perfect in net for the Black Bears as she stopped all six shots she faced in the winning performance. The shutout was her second of the season.
 
Maine (7-3, 3-0 AE) has run their win-streak to six games as they return to Orono for a non-conference matchup against Merrimack College on Sunday, Oct. 2. That game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 P.M.
