ORONO, ME - The America East Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon that University of Maine baseball players, Quinn McDaniel and Jeremiah Jenkins, were named the conferences Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

McDaniel, a sophomore out of Eliot, ME, was named the conferences Player of the Week after hitting .473 in a 4-0 week for the Black Bears, to go along with 4 RBI's, a double, a triple, a home run, 6 stolen bases and 8 runs scored.

Jenkins, a freshman out of Upper Marlboro, MD, was named the conferences Rookie of the Week for back-to-back weeks after he .500 in a weekend sweep of Hartford. Jenkins had 5 RBI's, a double, a triple, a home run, a stolen base and 3 runs scored.

Maine, who sits 2-wins shy of clinching the 1-seed for the America East playoffs, makes the trip to UMass Lowell for a weekend series against the Riverhawks on May 6-8.
