ORONO, ME - The University of Maine baseball team makes the trip to Albany for a 3-game series against the Great Danes from April 15-17.
For the Black Bears, they are coming off of a weekend in which they won 2 of 3 against NJIT, propelling them into 1st place in the America East Conference, tied with Stony Brook at 9-3 conference records.
The Black Bear offense has been the most dominate offense in America East Conference games thus far, leading the conference in batting average (.353), home runs (22), RBI's (112), SLG % (.578) and fewest strikeouts (70 in 12 games).
The Black Bears have also dropped their team ERA to 5.00 in conference play, good for second best in the Conference. They are tied for first in strikeouts with UMass Lowell at 116.

For Albany, they head into the matchup against the Black Bears off to a slow start in conference action as they rank last or second-to last in almost every offensive and pitching category as they've begun conference play 5-7. In their latest action, they dropped 2 of 3 against Stony Brook, with their lone win coming Saturday, April 9th, 5-3.
Will Binder (7th batting average - .409, 10th OBP - .490) has been a big bright spot for the Great Danes in conference action.
