Baseball has season come to an end in America East Championship Game

Vestal, N.Y. – The University of Maine baseball program had their season come to an end on Saturday night as they were eliminated by #1 Binghamton in the America East Championship.

Game One - First Pitch – 8:05 PM – 7-3 Binghamton

Scoring Plays:
Brody Rasmussen got the Black Bears on the board in the third inning as he hit a solo home run to left field, his fifth home run of the season and first of the playoffs.

Nolan DeAndrade drove in the second run of the game for the Black Bears as he hit an RBI double to right center, scoring Troy Carpenter (BB).

Quinn Murphy capped off the scoring for Maine with an RBI single to score DeAndrade (2B).

Pitching Breakdown:
Rex Hauser (0-1) pitched two and 2/3 innings to open up the bullpen game for the Black Bears, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and a strikeout.

Jack Donlin pitched a 1/3 on an inning, allowing an unearned run on a hit and a walk.

Tommy Martin pitched three innings, allowing an unearned run on one hit and two strikeouts.

Owen Wheeler pitched the final two innings for Maine, allowing two runs on three hits, one walk and four strikeouts. He struck out the side in the seventh inning.

The Black Bears conclude the 2026 season with a 24-32 record and a 3-2 record in the America East Championship Tournament.
