ORONO, ME - The America East Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon that University of Maine designated hitter, Jeremiah Jenkins, was named the conference's Rookie of the Week for his performances against Binghamton.

Jenkins, a freshman out of Upper Marlboro, MD, has been a force at the plate on the season for the Black Bears. He most recently extended his hitting streak to 7 games as he collected a hit in each of the Black Bears games, all wins, over Binghamton. He slashed .307/.357/.533 with 3 RBI's and 3 doubles as he earned his first Rookie of the Week award during the 2022 season.

The Black Bears will play host to the Stony Brook Seawolves for a 3-game set on March 25-27.
