ORONO - Nicholas Sinacola and Jake Rainess have been named the America East Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday, the first honor for each player in their career. 

Sinacola was simply dominant on Saturday afternoon, posting a 7.0 IP, 12 K, 2 H, 1 ER line against Wagner in Maine's 5-1 victory. Rainess continues to tear the cover off the ball, recording a .333 BA, 1.573 OPS, 7 RBI, and 4 R performance in Maine's series win over Wagner, including the game-winning grand slam on Saturday in Sinacola's start. 

Rainess, Sinacola, and the rest of the Black Bears will travel to Stony Brook for their next series this coming weekend.
