Biography

2016: Played in seven games ... had one tackle on the season that came against Toledo (9/10) ... had one kick-return for nine yards against New Hampshire (11/19).

2015: Saw action in all 11 games; made 22 tackles with 1.0 for loss and two pass breakups; notched a career-high nine tackles against Towson, including 1.0 for loss; had a pass breakup against Stony Brook and another at New Hampshire; made three tackles at Albany and again against Elon.

2014: Saw action in Maine’s season opener, making his debut against Norfolk St. (8/30); 2013: Redshirt, will have four years of eligibility remaining.

BEFORE MAINE/PERSONAL: Captain for coach John Hersom at Lawrence; Named KVAC Co-Player of the Year and All-State safety; Led team to Eastern Maine Championships in 2011 and 2012; KVAC First Team selection in basketball; Born Aug. 1, 1995; Son of Gisele and James Carey; a kinesiology and physical education (teaching/coaching) major.
