Biography

2016: Recorded seven tackles in nine games; had a season-high two tackles against Rhode Island (10/22) and New Hampshire (11/19).

2015: Saw action in all 11 games with 24 tackles, 2.0 for loss, and a pair of pass breakups; matched a career-high with six tackles at Boston College, 1.0 for loss; had four tackles, 1.0 for loss, at Richmond; had a pass breakup in each of Maine’s final two games (Elon, at New Hampshire).

2014: Appeared in 10 games at corner; tallied 27 tackles (19 unassisted) with two pass breakups; made his debut at Bryant, recording one tackle (9/13); made four stops at Towson (9/27) before tallying five tackles at Stony Brook (10/11); had a career-high six tackles against Richmond (11/8); had pass breakups against Albany (10/18) and at Rhode Island (10/25).

BEFORE MAINE/PERSONAL: Named first team defensive back both junior and senior seasons; Two-time Ed Byrnes coaches award winner; helped lead team to three state titles and Cape Atlantic League title; born Oct. 29, 1995; son of Angel and Patrick Dawson; coaches award in indoor/outdoor track freshman to junior year; won Easterns in 200m, 1st team in 200m; a communication major.
