LAST TIME OUT:
ORONO, Maine -- Adrianna Smith's putback layup with under three-seconds remaining lifted Maine to a 60-59 victory over UAlbany on Thursday evening in Orono. The victory moved Maine to 11-4 in America East play and into second in the league standings.

Smith finished the evening with 20 points, a career-high 12 assists, eight rebounds and three steals for her 54th career double-double and sixth in as many outings. The 54 double-doubles moved her into a tie with Vermont's Sheri Turnbull for the most double-doubles by an America East student-athlete since 1994.

Smith led four Black Bears in double-figures as Asta Blauenfeldt added 13 points with three triples. Sarah Talon finished the night 5-of-7 from the floor for 12 points to go along with six rebounds while Lala Woods added 10 points and six boards.

The Black Bears won the turnover battle for the 14th time in their last 15 games while posting single-digit turnovers (6) for the third consecutive game and sixth in their last seven outings.

Maine hit 25-of-60 from the floor with seven triples.

A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
The Black Bears, 8-3 at home and winners of their last four on the home court, close out the regular season by hosting Binghamton on Senior Day. Adrianna Smith, the two-week reigning America East Player of the Week, continues to lead the conference in scoring (22.3), rebounding (10.1), and assists (4.7). Smith is coming off a career-high 12 assist performance in Maine's win over UAlbany on Thursday. She is the only women's player in Division I averaging 20.0+ ppg, 10.0+ rpg, and 4.0+ apg. She ranks ninth in the country in scoring average and has posted 16 double-doubles. Her 16 double-doubles rank 12th in the nation and she recently tied Sheri Turnbull (Vermont) for the most career double-doubles (54) in the America East since 1994. Smith has tallied 20 or more points in nine of her last 10 and enters play riding a 23 game double-figure scoring streak and a six game double-double streak. Smith is aided by Asta Blauenfeldt who ranks 15th in the league in scoring (11.8) and fourth with a 38.0 percent clip from three-point range. The Black Bears rank sixth in the conference in scoring (61.4) and fifth in scoring defense (59.9). Maine, which has won the turnover battle in 14 of its 15 conference games, has posted single digit turnover totals in six of its last seven and rank second in the conference and 10th nationally with just 11.9 giveaways per game.

A LOOK AT BINGHAMTON:
The Bearcats, 6-7 on the road this season, have lost four of their last five after suffering a 67-48 setback at New Hampshire on Thursday. Bella Pucci leads Binghamton at 14.9 points per game. Kendall Bennett is adding 14.1 points and a team-high 10.0 rebounds. Binghamton ranks second in the league in scoring (65.8) and seventh in scoring defense (61.9). The Bearcats force the second most turnovers among America East leaders (17.7 per game) and rank second in the league in steals at 9.1 per outing.

SERIES WITH BINGHAMTON:
Maine and Binghamton will meet for the 54th time with the Black Bears holding a 36-17 advantage. Maine, which has won 25 of the last 30 meetings, dropped a 62-57 decision earlier this season in Binghamton in a game in which Maine found itself down 14 before clawing back to within two. Adrianna Smith posted 29 points to lead all scorers to go along with seven rebounds and three steals. Smith is averaging 15.9 points and 10.2 rebounds in nine career games against the Bearcats. Maine and Binghamton first met in 2001, a 63-62 overtime victory by the Black Bears. Maine is 18-9 at home in the head-to-head series.
