ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine men's ice hockey team will take on Northeastern this weekend for a two-game Hockey East series.

The Black Bears and Huskies will face off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27 at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. The teams are then slated for a 7 p.m. puck drop at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass. on Saturday, Feb. 28. Maine is the home team on Friday night and the visiting team on Saturday.
Both games will air on ESPN+ with an international stream available via Hockey East/Stretch Internet. The games can also be listened to via 95.7 FM in eastern Maine, 100.5 FM in southern Maine, 1310 AM or online at GoBlackBears.com/MIHRadio.

• Maine holds an overall record of 59-60-21 in the all-time series with Northeastern.
• Maine had a 2-0-1 mark against Northeastern during the 2024-25 regular season, winning 4-1 and tying 2-2 on the road in October and picking up a 3-1 win at home in January ... it was Maine's first regular season series win since the 2011-12 season .. the Black Bears later topped the Huskies, 4-3, in double overtime of the Hockey East Tournament semifinal.
• The Oct. 25, 2024 win snapped a 16-game winless streak at Matthews Arena (last win: Feb. 25, 2012).
• The first ever meeting in the series was on Dec. 1, 1977 at then-Boston Arena ... Northeastern won, 7-4.

• Josh Nadeau has five career four-point games, the most of any active Hockey East player.

• Frank Djurasevic is tied for 15th in the country and is fourth in Hockey East with a career-high 59 blocks ... he is also fifth among active Hockey East players with 151 career blocked shots.
