ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team defeated Providence, 180.5-119.5, on Senior Day at Wallace Pool.
Nicolene Harkins and
Mia Poirier each recorded a pair of individual victories to lead the way.
Harkins swept the distance events, taking the 500-yard freestyle at 5:17.71 and the 1000-yard freestyle with a winning time of 10:51.65.
Poirer scored a victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a final tiem of 1:57.13 and won the 100-yard free at 54.75.
Charlotte Hoover took gold in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.07) and was the runner-up in the 100-yard back (1:00.16).
Laura Dube touched the wall first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:07.51 and captured bronze in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:29.01.
Eva Welsh posted the top mark in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:25.29 and took silver in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:08.01.
Amelia Obszarny won the 50-yard freestyle sprint at 24.45 and took second in the 100-yard freestyle (54.80).Â
Macy Organ won the 200-yard fly at 2:10.70.
On the boards,
Maddie Ruppert was the runner-up in the 1-meter with a score of 258.23.
Maine swept the relay events with Hoover, Dube, Obszarny, and Poirier winning the 200-yard medley relay at 1:48.79.Â
Emily Yorkievitz, Obszarny,
Elle Cadigan, and Poirier won the took top honors in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:37.69.
