Women's Swim & Dive wraps up day one at America East Championships

Black Bears fourth after day one

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The University of Maine women's swimming & dive team sits in fourth place with 77 points after one day of competition at the America East Championships.

Maine's team of Charlotte Hoover, Laura Dube, Amelia Obszarny, and Elle Cadigan teamed up to place sixth in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:44.33.

Mia Poirier, Nikki Harkins, Emily Yorkievitz, and Lydia Williams posted a sixth place time of 7:38.70 in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Rachel Silva placed sixth on the 1-meter board with a score of 229.90 followed by Maddie Ruppert who finished eighth at 216.35.
