ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine midfielder
Zoe Furber has been named the America East Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday morning.
Furber tied Maine's school-records with five goals and 10 points in the Black Bears' win over New Haven.
Furber's five goal performance were the most goals scored in a single game by a Black Bear since Gina Ferazzi also posted five in 1983. Her 10 point day matched Ferazzi and Kelly Newton's (2009) 10-point school record performances.
The Black Bears return to action on Friday when they play host to Northeastern at 3 p.m.
