ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team (12-11, 7-3) continues its stretch of three-straight on the road when it looks for the season sweep of UMBC (11-10, 4-5) when it visits the Retrievers on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Maine is 27-15 all-time against UMBC after defeating the Retrievers, 61-47, earlier this season in Orono.

Caroline Bornemann posted 22 points in Maine's 61-56 loss at NJIT on Thursday evening in a game which featured 11 ties and 10 lead changes.
Bornemann, who finished the game 10-of-22 from the floor, moved into 23rd on Maine's all-time scoring list with her 22 point showing.
Caroline Dotsey added 12 points, with three triples, and has now posted double-digits in five of her last six outings.
Sera Hodgson chipped in nine points with a trio of threes.
Maine, which opened the game 7-of-13 from the floor in the first quarter, ended the contest 23-of-55 (41.8) with seven triples.
A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
Maine, winners of five of its last six, enter play 4-8 overall on the road this season and 2-3 in the league away from Orono. In conference only games, Maine's offense leads the league at 62.7 points per outing while the Black Bears check in with the third-ranked defense (53.5). Maine has limited four of its last five opponents to under 55 points with three being held in check to fewer than 50 points. Maine, shooting a league-best 45.5 percent against conference foes, check in second on the offensive glass (10.4) and boast a league-leading 16.2 assists in league play.
Caroline Bornemann, averaging 15.0 points (4th) and 8.7 rebounds (1st) in league action, leads Maine in both overall scoring (12.5) and rebounding (7.9). Bornemann, coming off a 22 points outing at NJIT, leads Maine with 13 double-digit scoring performances.
Caroline Dotsey, averaging 11.8 points in league play, is adding 10.8 points and 3.1 rebounds off the bench with a 39.0 percent mark from downtown.
Asta Blauenfeldt is posting 9.0 points while hitting at 39.4 percent clip from three while
Paula Gallego is chipping in 7.7 points and ranks second in the league at 3.8 assists.
Olivia Rockwood leads Maine with a 42.2 percent clip from downtown, ranking fourth in the America East with 1.9 triples per outing.
A LOOK AT UMBC:
The Retrievers are riding a three-game win streak after a 51-32 victory over New Hampshire on Thursday evening. UMBC has won four of its last five, including handing UAlbany its only conference loss of the season with a 71-59 decision on Jan. 23. Jordon Lewis paces UMBC with 11.0 points to go along with 5.1 rebounds while Talia Davis is adding 9.0 points with a team-high 41.4 percent mark from three. Davis is averaging a team-best 10.7 points in conference play. The Retrievers rank seventh in the league in scoring (56.7) and third in scoring defense (56.4) and have held each of their last three opponents under 50 points.
SERIES WITH UMBC:
Maine has won 11 of its last 14 meetings against the Retrievers and lead the all-time series, 27-15. Maine is 10-10 on the road against UMBC and will be looking for its first win in Baltimore since Feb. 2020. The two teams first met on Jan. 24, 2004 with Maine coming away with a 60-45 victory in Baltimore. The Black Bears would go on to win each of the first five meetings in the all-time series. Maine defeated UMBC earlier this season, 61-47, led by Dotsey's 17 points off the bench and 14 points apiece from Rockwood and Gallego. Maine outscored UMBC 21-7 in the first quarter and 18-6 in the third to help secure the win.
