ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team closes out the home portion of its regular season schedule when it hosts New Hampshire on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. in the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle. Thursday's game is presented by The Emily Ellis Team.

Caroline Dotsey's layup with 2.5 seconds left in regulation completed a 12-point, fourth quarter comeback victory over Binghamton for the University of Maine women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon as the Black Bears earned a 54-53 win on Senior Day.
Maine, which trailed 46-34 with 7:14 remaining in the game, closed the contest on a 20-7 run to earn its eight America East win of the season.
Sera Hodgson led three Maine double-digit scorers with a team-high 12 points on four triples.
Asta Blauenfeldt chipped in 11 points while
Caroline Bornemann added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Olivia Rockwood posted nine points and a career-high nine rebounds in the win.
The Black Bears, who finished the game 18-of-50 (36.0) from the floor with 12 triples, shot 7-of-15 (46.7) with four threes in the fourth quarter. Maine outscored the Bearcats 20-10 in the final frame.
Maine held a 34-26 edge on the boards and improve to 20-1 in its last 21 home conference games. The victory was also
Amy Vachon's 167th of her head coaching career, just one shy of matching Joanne Palombo-McCallie for the most wins by a basketball head coach in UMaine history.
A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
The Black Bears look for their 10th consecutive victory over New Hampshire as they enter play 6-1 at home in conference play.
Caroline Bornemann, who has tallied double-digits in eight conference games this season, is averaging 13.6 points per game and a league-high 8.5 rebounds in America East play. Overall, Bornemann ranks fifth in the league in scoring (12.3 and second in rebounding (7.9).
Caroline Dotsey has produced seven games of double-digits in league play and ranks second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game, good for 10th best in the league.
Asta Blauenfeldt ranks in the top-25 among league leaders in four categories including scoring (24th-8.5); 3-pointers made per game (20th-1.0); assists (10th-2.6); and steals (6th-1.6).
Paula Gallego, coming off a game with seven points, seven rebounds, and six assists, ranks second in the league in both assists per game (3.7) and assist to turnover ratio (1.7). Gallego has six or more assists in six games this season. Maine continues to set the pace from downtown where it is averaging a league-high 8.0 triples per game on a league-best 24.9 attempts. The Black Bears, who hit four triples in the fourth quarter against Binghamton on Saturday and finished with 12 total from downtown, have now hit double-digit triples in five games this season.
A LOOK AT NEW HAMPSHIRE :
The Wildcats, 5-11 on the road this season, have won two of their last three but are coming off a 67-49 loss to current number one seeded UAlbany. New Hampshire's offense ranks 340th in the country out of 353 teams at just 53.5 points per game with a league-worst, and 343rd ranked, 35.5 percent showing from the floor. UNH ranks second in the America East with 34.6 rebounds per game. Eva DeChent leads the America East in scoring at 17.7 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds. Clara Gomez is adding 5.2 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds.
SERIES WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE:
Maine and New Hampshire will meet for the 106th time in their storied history. The Black Bears enter play with a 69-36 advantage in the series and have matched up against UNH more times than any of its other opponents. Maine has won nine in a row against the Wildcats, earning a 65-54 victory in Durham earlier this year behind a 30 point scoring effort from
Caroline Dotsey. Maine is 43-20 at home against the Wildcats and have won eight straight on its home court against New Hampshire. UNH has not won at Maine since 2017. The two teams first met in 1920, a 15-13 victory by the Wildcats.
