ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team returns from its three-game road trip to take on the current top-seeded team in the America East, UAlbany, on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Limited tickets for the annual 'Pink Game' as part of the Black Bear Inn Cancer Awareness series.

The Black Bears, who have won 19-straight home conference games, fell at UAlbany by a final of 60-55 earlier this season. Maine has won each of the last two meetings between the two teams in Orono.

BURLINGTON, Vt. --
Caroline Bornemann led Maine with seven points and 11 rebounds in a 65-34 loss at Vermont on Saturday afternoon. The loss slips Maine to 12-13, 7-5 in America East play while Vermont improves to 15-11, 10-2.
The loss snaps Maine's four game win streak against the Catamounts.
Maine finished the outing 12-of-46 from the floor while Vermont shot 30-of-50 in the win.
Sera Hodgson and
Jaycie Christopher each added six points for the Black Bears.
A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:
The Black Bears are 7-3 at home this season, 4-10 on the road, and are undefeated against league opponents in Orono this season.
Caroline Bornemann continues to lead Maine as she ranks among the top five league leaders in scoring in and rebounding. Bornemann, who recently moved into 23rd on Maine's all-time scoring list with 1,1105 points, ranks second in the America East in rebounding (7.9) and fifth in scoring (12.6). Bornemann has posted double-digit scoring 14 times this season, scoring 20+ in two of her last three outings, with double-digit rebound totals in nine games.
Caroline Dotsey checks in 11th best in the America East in scoring at 10.4 points per game with double-digits in six of Maine's 12 conference games. In her first season in the America East,
Asta Blauenfeldt has contributed on both sides of the floor as she ranks 22nd in the league in scoring (8.6), ninth in assists (2.6), and sixth in steals (1.5).
Paula Gallego sets the table for Maine, ranking second in the league in assists (3.6) and second in assist/turnover ratio (1.8). In conference play, Maine's offense ranks fourth best at 59.5 points while defensively the Black Bears are third at 55.9 points surrendered. Maine three-point percentage (32.0) is second best while the Black Bears lead the nine-team conference with 6.8 triples made per outing in league play. Maine is averaging 64.5 points per game at home this season and just 55.5 per game on the road.
A LOOK AT UALBANY:
The Great Danes, who are undefeated (12-0) at home this season but 8-5 on the road, are atop the America East standings at 10-2 following a 59-44 win against UMass Lowell last Thursday. UAlbany, which has lost two of its last four on the road (Vermont, UMBC), enter play with the league's second ranked scoring offense (64.4) and second ranked scoring defense at 54.1. It's point allowed rank 11th best in the nation. The Great Danes boast the league's top three-point percentage (33.3) and top three-point percentage defense (26.3) while forcing a league-high 16.7 turnovers per game. Kayla Cooper leads the conference in scoring (17.9) and ranks fourth in rebounding at 7.2 per game. Kaci Donovan, who has hit a team-high 46 triples on the season, is adding 11.4 points.
SERIES WITH UALBANY:
Maine and UAlbany will square off for the 57th time in history, including nine post season meetings. The home team has won each of the last three meetings, including the Great Danes earning a 60-55 win earlier this season in Albany. In that contest, Maine was led by

Sera Hodgson who each tallied 16 points while Asta Blauefeldt added 15 points. The Black Bears have won 13 of the last 18 meetings. Maine holds a 32-24 edge in the all-time series. Maine is 14-8 at home against UAlbany and has won each of the last two meetings in Orono.
