ORONO, Maine -- For the eighth time in her career,
Adrianna Smith has been named the America East Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Smith averaged 15.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.5 blocks, and 2.0 steals as she guided Maine to a 1-1 week with a win over Saint Francis.
The redshirt senior opened her week with a 12 point, eight rebound, five assist, and four steal performance against UIC on 5-of-12 shooting.
Smith concluded the week by notching the first triple-double in Maine history since 2015 when she tallied 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in Maine's victory over Saint Francis. Smith, who matched a season-high with 13 boards, also added four blocks in the win.
The Black Bears continue play on Monday evening when they play host to Boston University at 6 p.m.
