ORONO, Maine – The #8/10 University of Maine men's ice hockey team will host the Vermont for two Hockey East contests at Alfond Arena this weekend.

The Black Bears and Catamounts are set to face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 and at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. Both conference tilts will stream on ESPN+, with an international stream available via Hockey East/Stretch Internet. • Maine holds an overall mark of 34-29-9 in the series with Vermont ... the Black Bears are 12-11-5 at home against the Catamounts.
• The Black Bears took both meetings during the 2024-25 season, picking up 4-1 and 4-3 wins in Orono.
• Grayson Arnott (2-2-4) and Frank Djurasevic (1-3-4) are Maine's active scoring leaders against Vermont ... there are 12 current Black Bears with at least one point against the Catamounts.
• The Black Bears and Catamounts first met on Feb. 24, 1978 at Gutterson Fieldhouse, with Maine earning a 6-3 win.

• Maine has outshot the opponent in 66 of 85 contests dating back to the start of the 2023-24 season ... on Nov. 6 at UMass, the Black Bears fired 54 shots on goal, marking the sixth time since the 2003-04 season that Maine had at least 54 shots on goal in a game.
• Maine' weekend sweep of BU Oct. 31-Nov. 1 was the program's first weekend sweep of a top-5 team since doing it at #3 Boston College on Jan. 25-26, 2013.
• Justin Poirier is one of just three Hockey East rookies since 2005-06 to score nine goals in their first 10 games.
