ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team dropped a 174-122 decision to Vermont in a dual meet on Saturday morning at Wallace Pool.
The Black Bears swept both relay events against the Catamounts.

Eva Welsh,
Emily Yorkievitz, and
Amelia Obszarny teamed up to take first in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:48.44. Obszarny,
Elle Cadigan, Yorkievitz,
Mia Poirier combined to win the 200-yard freestyle relay at 1:37.43.
Welsh led Maine individually, posting wins in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.39) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:24.71) while taking second in the 400-yard IM at 4:41.70.
Nicolene Harkins paced Maine in the freestyle events, posting the runner-up time in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.95) while taking third in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:18.91.
Obszarny finished second in the 50-yard freestyle (24.36) and third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.07).
Macy Organ was the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:10.29.
Hoover was third in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.58) and the 100-yard butterfly (59.50).
