ORONO, Maine – The #12 University of Maine men's ice hockey team will begin Hockey East play this weekend when it hosts #5 Boston University for two games at Alfond Arena.

The Black Bears and Terriers are set to face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31and Saturday, Nov. 1. Both conference tilts will stream on ESPN+, with an international stream available via Hockey East/Stretch Internet. Additionally, Saturday night's game will air live on NESN. The games can also be listened to via 92.9 FM, 100.5 FM or online at GoBlackBears.com/MIHRadio.

SERIES HISTORY vs BOSTON UNIVERSITY
• Maine holds an all-time record of 56-76-15 in the series with Boston University.
• The teams met twice in Orono during the 2024-25 season, with Maine earning a 5-2 win on Nov. 15 before battling to a 2-2 tie on Nov. 16.
• Eleven current Black Bears have at least one career point against the Terriers ... Thomas Freel (3-4-7) leads all active Black Bears followed by Josh Nadeau (1-3-4).
• The first meeting with both teams as varsity squads came on Nov. 20, 1979 as the Terriers picked up a 5-3 win at Walter Brown Arena.
• Maine held an 11-game winning streak against the Terriers from Oct. 1986 to Nov. 1989.
ABOUT BOSTON UNIVERSITY
• The Terriers enter the weekend at 3-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in Hockey East play after splitting a home-and-home series with UConn this past weekend.
• Boston University has played four consecutive games against ranked teams in facing a #11 UConn squad for two games and hosting #3/4 Michigan State the weekend before, going 1-3-0 in that span.
• Cole Eiserman (6-2-8) and Cole Hutson (2-6-8) lead the Terriers offensively while 13 different players have scored a goal for BU.
• Mikhail Yegorov is 3-3-1 between the pipes … he has a 3.09 goals against average and .902 save percentage while facing an average of 31.7 shots per game.

• On Friday night, the Raiders picked up a 3-2 win and then on Saturday, the Black Bears rebounded for a 3-2 win in overtime thanks to Max Scott's first goal as a Black Bear.
• Brandon Holt had two assists in both contests to tie for the Hockey East lead in points over the weekend with his league-leading four helpers.
• In addition to his game-winning goal, Scott had 22 face-off wins.
