Preview: Maine preps to host #8 Colgate for non-conference series, Oct 17/18

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team (1-4-0. 0-0-0 HE) is set to host #8 Colgate University (2-2-0, 0-0-0 ECAC) for a pair of non-conference games this weekend, Oct 17/18, at Alfond Arena. Game times are set for 6:30 pm and 4:30 pm, respectively.

BLACK BEARS' LAST TIME OUT:

  • Maine picked up their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Saint Anselm in the home-opener on Friday, October. 10.
  • Friday's win was the first game against a non-ranked opponent.
  • Maine received a vote in the USA Hockey Poll this week, for the second time this season.
  • Isabelle Michaud, Stephanie Jacob and  Paige Fong were the goal scorers last weekend, while goaltender Kiia Lahtinen had a 22-save shutout, the third of her career.
