The University of Maine women's ice hockey will open their auction of game-worn, alternate lighthouse jerseys from this past season starting on April 22. The jerseys, made possible through a partnership with KeyBank, were worn twice last season by the Black Bears, including the Maine State Pride game in Portland.
The jersey features Maine's iconic Portland Head Lighthouse outlined by the state of Maine. Maine's navy color scheme is the primary color of the jersey, with the columbia blue and white stripes. The Maine script logo is on each shoulder of the jersey in white.
A portion of the profits will go to the Maine Inferno, an ice hockey association for girls of all age classifications and skill levels in Maine.
"This is a great opportunity for our fans to get their hands on commemorative jerseys while supporting our program and local youth hockey for girls. Giving back and growing the game is something our program aspires to do, and we are again very thankful for KeyBank bringing these jerseys to life," said head coach Molly Engstrom.
Jerseys will be open to the public for bidding starting on April 22 at 12:00 AM. The auction will go through Saturday, April 25 until 5:00 PM.
