ORONO, Maine—The University of Maine's Women's Ice Hockey team (8-18-1, 7-12-1 HE) will continue Hockey East play with two away games this weekend. Maine faces Providence on Friday, Jan. 31 at Schneider Arena and Holy Cross on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Hart Center Arena. Game times are set for 2:00 pm and 1:00 pm, respectively.

Notes on the Black Bears:
- Maine came out of last weekend with a sweep of UNH, picking up six conference points to elevate them into sixth place in the conference standings.
- Maine has now won six of their last eight contests.
- The Black Bears had seven different goal scorers over the weekend, as they won 4-3 and 2-1.
- Lily Fetch leads the Black Bears in goals and points, as she netted the game-winner on Friday night. Mira Seregely tallied the other goal in game one.
- On Saturday, Haley Ryan, Raegan Wurm, Adriana van de Leest and Mikayla Boarder scored for Maine. Boarder tallied the game-winner in game two.
- Danielle Brunette, Courtney Colarullo, Elise Morphy, Stephanie Jacob, Mira Seregely, Lila Shea, Sam Morrison, and Jamie Grinder all tallied an assist in the weekend sweep.
- Julia Bachetti saw both starts, earning back-to-back wins, which led to her earning Hockey East's goaltender of the week. She made 50 saves between the two games.
Previous Matchups with Providence:
- Maine faced the Friars for two games at Alfond Arena back in October of 2024. Maine and Providence split wins as each team won 3-2, except Providence's win came in overtime.
Scouting the Friars (14-9-3, 10-7-2):
- Providence has been on a hot streak in 2025, winning the last seven of eight games played, three of which were over ranked teams.
- Reichen Kirchmair (15g, 10a) and Audrey Knapp (11g, 11a) lead the team in points so far. Goaltender Hope Walinski has started in 24 games this season, holding a .929 sv % and 1.74 GAA.
- The team is averaging 2.8 goals per game.
Previous Matchups with Holy Cross:
- Maine has not yet faced Holy Cross this season. Last year, Maine defeated the Crusaders in all three matchups, once in overtime.

- Emily Crovo (6g, 10a) and Alexis Moreau (5g, 6a) lead the team in points, while Abby Hornung has been the primary goaltender, with a .936 sv % and 2.01 GAA.
