DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team fell at New Hampshire by a final of 166-91 on Friday evening.
Maine's team of
Mia Poirier,
Hannah Deighan,
Charlotte Hoover, and Liz Stoelzel captured gold in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:40.45.
Madison Edwards,
Ainslie Boswell, Hoover, and Deighan placed third in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:50.17.
Stoelzel earned a victory in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.04 while
Marlee Canale took first in the 200-yard IM at 2:14.62. Maine swept the pedestal in the 200-IM with Boswell (2:14.84) taking second followed by
Carmen Braden (219.25) in third.
Nicolene Harkins earned a pair of runner-up finishes, taking second in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:55.92 before touching the wall second in the 500-yard free event at 5:10.17.
Eva Welsh placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 107.40 and took third in the 200-yard breaststroke event at 2:23.62.
Poirier was the runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle (54.67) while Edwards placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.27).
Laura Dube finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.62.
On the boards,
Ashley LeClaire took third in the 1-meter with a score of 244.35.
