BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team finished second at Bowdoin with a final score of 189-150. In the meet, the Black Bears registered several podium showings including four individual victories.
Nicki Harkins won the 200-yard freestyle at 1:56.00 and was the runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.08.
Maddie Baldwin won the 50-yard breaststroke at 31.77 while
Laura Dube added a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:06.68.
Kennady Hart captured Maine's fourth victory, taking gold in the 50-yard freestyle with a final time of 24.91.
Madison Edwards secured a trio of runner-up showings, taking second in the 50-yard backstroke (28.31), the 100-yard backstroke (59.52), and the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.24).
Eva Welsh chipped in silver medals in both the 400-yard IM (4:40.13) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.33) while
Hannah Deighan touched the wall second in the 50-free (25.41) and 100-free (56.06).
On the diving boards,
Haylie Calver placed third in the 1-meter at 252.60 and
Ashley LeClaire took third in the 3-meter with a final score of 251.24).
Hart,
Hannah Deighan,
Alicia Littler, and
Mia Poirier teamed up to finish second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:40.39.
